The club football tournament will take place in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain in December
Football enthusiasts from across the world can register to volunteer for the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2017 in December.
The local organising committee requires more than 1,000 volunteers for the club football tournament that will take place in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain from December 6 to 16.
Irrespective of gender and nationality, fans can register at www.volunteers.ae until October 10.
“This is a unique opportunity for football enthusiasts across the world to gain invaluable skills and experience in the operations of a live sports event," said Aref Al Awani, tournament director of the local organising committee.
“Volunteers are at the heart of the tournament. The programme will help participants develop their skills, meet like-minded people and understand how the world's biggest tournaments are organised."
Applicants must be 16-years-old and above to be eligible to sign up and participate in sectors including marketing and communications, ticketing, hospitality, accreditation and operations.
The capital hosted the 2009 and 2010 tournaments. Seven club champions, including Real Madrid and Pachuca of Mexica, will play in eight title-deciding matches in Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi and the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain.
